Colorado’s screen culture is having a moment. Sundance arrives in Boulder in January 2027. Telluride and Mountainfilm continue to draw filmmakers and audiences from around the world. Denver Film Festival, Aspen Filmfest, SeriesFest, and the Boulder International Film Festival anchor a year-round festival calendar that few states can match. Independent cinemas like Denver’s Sie FilmCenter program with curatorial ambition. And Colorado-shot productions are bringing the state’s landscapes to screens everywhere.

OnScreen Colorado is being built to cover all of it.

We’re a sister publication to OnStage Colorado, the state’s trusted voice in theatre journalism since 2018. We’re bringing that same editorial DNA — Colorado-first, independent, honest and locally rooted — to the films, festivals filmmakers, and venues shaping screen culture across the state.

Right now, we’re in build mode. Reviews, interviews, festival coverage, a comprehensive events calendar and a weekly newsletter are all in the works, with our full launch coming ahead of festival season. In the meantime, you’ll see new features, content and tools rolling out steadily as we go.

Want to be first to know when we launch? Subscribe to our newsletter for film and TV news in your inbox — and you’ll be first to hear when OnScreen Colorado officially goes live.

Thanks for being here early. The lights are about to come up.
