About this festival
The Colorado Dragon Boat Film Festival is the state’s only festival devoted entirely to Asian and Asian American cinema, launched in 2016 and held each March at the Sie FilmCenter as a Denver Film Spotlight Festival in partnership with Colorado Dragon Boat. It highlights the creativity and contributions of AANHPI filmmakers, directors, and storytellers, pairing curated screenings and filmmaker Q&As with community conversations, a Cultural Corner marketplace of AANHPI-owned vendors, and the Reel Bites culinary event. Programming spans features, documentaries, shorts, and animation from across Asia and the United States, anchored each year by an opening-night presentation, a centerpiece screening, and a closing film.
