Founded in 1979, Mountainfilm is one of North America’s longest-running documentary film festivals — and now an Academy Award qualifying festival in the Documentary Short Film category. Held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, the festival celebrates adventure, activism, social justice, environment, and what its programmers call indomitable spirit.
