The Sundance Film Festival makes its Boulder debut January 21–31, 2027, marking the first edition of the festival at its new permanent home after decades in Park City. Sundance has confirmed Boulder as the festival’s base going forward, not a one-off experiment.
The 2027 program will carry the festival’s familiar shape — world premieres, conversations with filmmakers, and special events — recalibrated for a new city. Specific venues, screening schedules, and programming details will be announced in the months leading up to the festival.
For Colorado audiences, this is the closest Sundance has ever been. For Boulder, it’s the largest cultural event the city has hosted.
