Film on the Rocks returns to Red Rocks for 2026 summer season
Denver Film's outdoor movie series brings five films to the amphitheatre this summer, including a Sundance-partnered screening of Little Miss Sunshine with a live score by Devotchka.

Denver Film has announced the 2026 lineup for Film on the Rocks, the long-running outdoor movie series at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Tickets are on sale now through AXS.
This year’s slate features five films screened across the summer, each paired with a live pre-show performance:
- The Princess Bride — June 8, with a pre-show performance by School of Rock
- Sinners — June 22, with a pre-show performance by The Reminders
- Little Miss Sunshine — July 13, presented in partnership with Sundance Film Festival, with pre-show performances by Grammy-nominated headliner Devotchka, who scored and performed on the film’s soundtrack, and opener Wheelchair Sports Camp
- Bridesmaids — Aug. 3, with a pre-show performance by May Be Fern
- Jurassic Park — Aug. 10, presented in partnership with National Geographic Live and powered by Xcel Energy, with a pre-show appearance by paleontologist and National Geographic Explorer Tyler Lyson
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. each show night, with pre-show entertainment beginning at 7 p.m. and films starting at 8:30 p.m. Each screening will be emceed by Denver comedian, actor and event host Janae Burris. Open captions are provided at every Film on the Rocks screening.
The series has run at Red Rocks for more than two decades and regularly draws audiences of more than 8,000 per show. The July 13 partnership with Sundance Film Festival marks an early local touchpoint with the festival ahead of its January 2027 move to Boulder.
