SeriesFest sets 10-pilot comedy slate for Season 12
Ten pilots from the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico screen in four blocks at Sie FilmCenter, with juried awards decided by a panel including Teri Weinberg of "The Office."

SeriesFest will screen 10 independent comedy pilots in competition during its 12th season, with screenings spread across four blocks at the Sie FilmCenter in Denver from May 6–10.
The Independent Pilot Competition: Comedy slate features eight world or U.S. premieres and includes one international entry from Puerto Rico and one from Canada. Selected pilots run 18–60 minutes and compete for awards including Best Comedy Pilot, Best Performance, Best Director and Best Writer, along with an Audience Choice Award. The Best Pilot winner receives $25,000 in post-production in-kind services from festival partner Company 3.

- Soft Boil (USA, Colorado Premiere) — Created by Alex Goldberg
- Son of a Bikram (USA, Colorado Premiere) — Created by Ash T and Johnny Rey Diaz
- Who Almost Killed Melody? (Canada, U.S. Premiere) — Created by Marc Auger Gosselin and Simon Larouche
- @Love (Puerto Rico, Colorado Premiere) — Created by Annabelle Mullen Pacheco
The comedy jury comprises filmmaker and “The Four Seasons” actor Marco Calvani; writer-producer-director-songwriter Jack Dolgen; and Teri Weinberg, president of Yellow Brick Road and an executive producer of “The Office.”
Independent Pilot Competition: Comedy screenings are scheduled across four blocks: Block 1 on Friday, May 8 at 1:45 p.m.; Block 2 on Friday, May 8 at 4:15 p.m.; Block 3 on Saturday, May 9 at 11:30 a.m.; and Block 4 on Saturday, May 9 at 3:45 p.m. The block-by-block title assignments and ticketing are listed at the festival’s official schedule.
SeriesFest: Season 12 runs May 6–10 at Sie FilmCenter, with additional programs at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Asterisk and other Denver venues. Festival passes and individual tickets are available at seriesfest.com.
